“Broke” (Me card #2)

"at the dentist with my love"

“For in him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority.” Colossians 2:9-10

So, despite the “broke,” I rest. Despite the circumstance gone awry, I rest. Despite the feelings of condemnation and just plain “ugly,” I rest.

What choice do I have? I have abandoned myself to his truth. I am not willing to chunk the Bible out the window. Therefore, I look for my answer there in his words, and I see Jesus. It is the “in him” part that comes up twice in the Colossians verses. Brother Jesus walked this road before me; he walked “broke” too! Ahhh – his body broken for me and in this breaking, he made me complete. Such a bigger story than my front tooth! And I am grateful for the reminder of his great love! And I move forward sober to my need and celebrating his remedy!

P.S. – After skiing the rest of the morning, I made a phone call to my friend Eric at lunchtime. He hooked me up with an incredible dentist in Breckenridge, happens to be the mayor too! He saw me that afternoon and in a matter of an hour, I was walking out of his office with teeth again. I am not sure what he did nor how he did it, but there you have it! Now I am a walking “broke” miracle! Aren’t we all?
