Quarantine Day ?!?! – Sharing My Crazy with You

In these days of house arrest and forced “homeschooling,” I have been thinking alot about you “young mama’s.” Your days are not easy when all is as planned and there is freedom to leave the confines of your four walls, so I know that these past few weeks and certainly the weeks to come are not and will not be easy. Do I hear an AMEN!
So, I wanted to share some of my crazy with you! One of my favorite writers is Tillie Olsen, and she has a great line in her short story, “I Stand Here Ironing” that says: “We are just peaceful wrecks holding hands with other peaceful wrecks.” That is me and you. We all have our dose of crazy on a daily basis. But we also have an invitation! You open your Bible most any place, and you will find it.
Jeremiah 31:3 – “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”
I John 3:1 – “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”
Hebrews 10:23 – “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess. . . . ”
Thank goodness, we don’t have to stay in the crazy! There is more! BUT it is hard to hang on to the “more” and believe in the “more” when CRAZY is all around you. I know it, still living it. The enemy wants us isolated and believing the alternative – that we do not have what it takes, that we are a pitiful excuse for a mama, and that everyone else is doing a far better job at this quarantine living. Just look at all the cute posts of creative things people are doing, right????

YOU ARE A GREAT MAMA! You have what it takes. These days are hard; simple steps. Celebrate the moments that do go right. Love your babies and do the next right thing. But first, share in my crazy! Just pick one and be encouraged!
