My home is a mess! Three days of handy men traipsing in and through my house has left it in one crazy state! We had new windows put in the kids’ rooms. They also re-caulked (is that a word?!) the bathtub, replaced the kitchen faucet, painted the hallway and Carson’s entire room for that matter, fixed the door frame that had been broken in a “time out gone bad” (that is a story for another time!!) and a few other things that now I have already forgotten. The invoice coming will be sure to remind me. Needless to say, I want nothing more than to get at my house with my handy swiffer, new vacuum and Clorox wipes. Ron even so beautifully volunteered to take the kids...
Read MoreFor Allie . . . 1. Change is amiss! It is all new; everything feels awkward. Embrace the changes in friendships, schedules, studying, etc. Fear is the belief that you are somewhere that God isn’t, and you know that just isn’t true (my good friend, Pres, told me that). So, name the fear, seek his heart for you in that moment and walk forward in the belief that you walk together. Father God shows up in these gaps and shows himself as someone you can depend on. 2. Don’t pick your major too quickly. This is the time to inquire, research, interview, etc. Get yourself with people and in environments doing the things you think you might be interested in doing as much as...
Read MoreI was hopeful to ponder significant thoughts and experience great adventures today. Instead – I am cleaning up THROW UP and doing way too many loads of laundry?!? What is going on? My Maya is not well today, and my Mom job is calling my name. And this bullet on the job description is a hard one for me. Bodily functions going the wrong way they were intended is not my strong point! The words of my friends Henri Nouwen and Brother Lawrence run through my mind and heart encouraging me to stay the course, reminding me of the eternal significance of even these moments, causing me to take a deep breath and embrace the possibility of significant thoughts and great...
Read MoreOkay, so I buy it. I want the “life that is truly life.” I want the extravagance whether in plenty or pain, the authenticity without agenda or arrogance. I want all of Father God and what he wants me to know and experience. I want sight! I believe that he calls me by name and loves me. I can see now those that have walked before me that have tasted of this “life.” And I certainly see the love of Brother Jesus in the word and his ways. I believe that he did come so that I could “have life, and have it to the full” John 10:10. I am tasting the love, and I want The Whole Peach. So, what’s the problem? What will prevent me from experiencing this “life?” Is...
Read MoreIt is a story he has always been telling and longing for us to hear. So, what is the story? And who is he that has been telling it? The story is “life that is truly life.” It’s extravagance whether in plenty or pain; it’s real without agenda or arrogance. A “life that is truly life” has been scripted by our Father God since the beginning of time, and he invites us today to see, seek and savor all that he is and wants us to be. A picture of this extravagance happened long before we ever knew it. We have realized that Father God had been whispering this story all along through the people he has weaved in our journey. Whispers of his love and his vision had...

So, if a Whole Peach person is one who sees Father God and life for who and what they really are, if a Whole Peach person is one who seeks Father God and the “life” that only he can offer, and if a Whole Peach person is one who...
